Do Us Part (The Dumont Diaries, #4) - Alessandra Torre Loved these miniseries! I read [b:The Girl in 6E|16225648|The Girl in 6E|Alessandra Torre|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1365711087s/16225648.jpg|22213300] a few months ago and this author really caught my attention with her unique style of writing.Having just finished another series and feeling very depressed I desperately needed something to get me out of the book funk. And then Alessandra Torre and The Dumont Diaries started popping up on my GR feeds. Not wanting to dwell much on my TBR shelves I acted on impulse and 1-Clicked all four books! Well, let me tell you I am very glad to have trusted my instincts. The Dumont Diaries are a quick, hot and entertaining read with the right amount of suspense and I loved the style of writing, exactly what I needed.I have highlighted my favorites parts, especially on the third and fourth book but I didn't want to quote any just in case it ruined and spoiled the plot.I hope you pick these up and enjoy them as much as I did.
Unteachable - Leah Raeder 5 Wonderful Stars “It couldn’t have been anyone,” he said softly. “For a long time before I met you, I felt my life was this kind of test. I was in deep, cold water, swimming for shore, and my arms were getting tired, my skin numb. On the shore was everything I thought I wanted: a better job, a house, a family.” He swallowed, his throat cording with tension. “But I could barely keep my head above water. Eventually I stopped seeing the shore. Only cold dark blue, in all directions. I know it’s cliché, but when I met you, my eyes opened. I looked around, and realized I could stand up whenever I wanted. There was firm ground under my feet. That shore in the distance was an illusion. I was already somewhere beautiful.”

Shut Up and Kiss Me

Shut Up and Kiss Me - Christie Craig 3.5 stars
Inevitable - Angela Graham 3.5 stars
Escaping Reality - Lisa Renee Jones 3.5 generous stars

Thief (Love Me With Lies, #3)

Thief (Love Me With Lies, #3) - Tarryn Fisher I feel so sad and deflated now that the series is over!I am really going to miss Caleb and Olivia, it's like saying goodbye to good friends who you're not going to see for a very long, long time

Accidentally on Purpose (Accidentally on Purpose, #1)

Accidentally on Purpose (Accidentally on Purpose, #1) - L.D. Davis Ummm...just finished it and this feeling of glum and depression that I had throughout the book has not left me.I had a few problems with the main character and her reckless behaviour but I suppose it kinda made sense in the end after the revelation Kyle was using drugs!!! Didn't expect that. Still a bit confused did she or didn't she use drugs as well? I just can't justify her actions.. So taking all that in consideration, am still unsure how I feel about this book. What I'm sure of is that the writing is brilliant and the chemistry is hot. It's just that I feel so emotionally drained now I don't seem to be able to pick up another book...Oh well, methinks time to change the book genre, that usually works.
Natural Born Charmer - Susan Elizabeth Phillips 4.5 stars! Will definitely read other books from this author. Big thank you to Blacky for the rec, it did get me out my book funk

Why We Broke Up

Why We Broke Up - 3.5 annoying stars!Ummm....what did I think about this book? Annoying? Or as Min would say Arty? This book had its good, touchy moments but for the best part it made me feel depressed and that's not what I would like to feel when I'm reading. The writing style was a tad overboard for my taste, even though it was portraying the chaotic, very busy and melodramatic head of Min, the main character that up to 81% I still could not connect with, in fact I was waiting the hero or antihero, her love interest Ed to do something stupid and terrible, to justify this letter and the whole reason she was writing it in the first place. Is it ok to say that I wasn't enjoying reading this book and still didn't want to stop reading and at the same time wanted to finish it and be done with it...At one point, I did wonder if this was written by a gay author in disguise and was all about his ex-boyfriend, "no offence" as Ed would say...I kind of guessed or was expecting what was going to happen, the clues were there ... Annette was too nice for my liking and I was right about that! And as per Al, you could tell from the beginning that he was the right one for Min...After all, I'm glad I read this book but OMG I do feel so depressed ...
Charm & Strange - Stephanie Kuehn Brilliant!Just finished and am finding it difficult to write through my tears. I'd recommend this book to anyone, but as a previous reviewer said it's best to go with an open mind, don't read any reviews nor even the synopsis .I kind of guessed some part of the plot, I had this sneaky suspicion from the beginning but the way the story is told it keeps you suspended until the last page.I hope you'll give this book a try and get captivated by it as much as I did. “I am bound between two worlds. I don’t want to die and I don’t think I can live. How can the same God that created all this beauty have created me?”
Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) - Susan Ee Love, love, love it! Can't wait until November ...“But the truth is that we’re all just stumbling around in the dark. Sometimes we hit something terrible.”-------------------------“Sometimes, as we’re stumbling along in the dark, we hit something good.”
Tidal - Emily Snow Loved it!“Why are you doing this?” he demanded in a low voice against my mouth. You take the nightmares away, I wanted to tell him. Because I don’t fucking know you but when I’m with you, I want to feel again. I don’t need pills or noise or a distraction.”------------------------------------“When my mum died I realized that that it’s possible to live without someone you love.” When I asked him what he meant, he wrapped me back in his arms. “I love you, Willow, but I can live without you. I just refuse to.”

Wrong Bed, Right Guy (Come Undone, #1)

Wrong Bed, Right Guy (Come Undone, #1) - Katee Robert 3.5 stars,An easy read just what I needed right now, shame about the unnecessary drama (misunderstanding) right at the end, pretty predictable and very annoying, otherwise it could have been a 4 star

Obsession

Obsession - Jennifer L. Armentrout 5 BRILLIANTLY HOT STARS!Hunter is my favourite arum, what am I saying, he's my favourite extraterrestrial ever.
Fire Inside - Kristen Ashley 3.5 starsReview to come soon.
